Business Breakthrough University, Universität in Japan
Business Breakthrough University is a private university in Tokyo focused on practical business education, offered mainly through online courses. It runs an MBA program alongside two undergraduate departments: Global Management and Digital Business Design.
The school was founded in 2005 as a specialized graduate school and became a full university in 2010. It was built from the start to serve working professionals who needed practical business training.
The university serves working professionals and career-changers who study alongside peers from different industries and backgrounds. This mix creates a learning environment where practical business experience is shared and valued by the community.
Most courses are delivered online through the AirCampus platform, so students can follow them from any location at their own pace. The physical campus sits in Chiyoda Ward in central Tokyo and is easy to reach by public transport for in-person events.
The university teaches through a method called RTOCS, in which students work on real business problems taken from actual companies operating at that moment. Over the course of their studies, they work through around 100 of these cases rather than fictional scenarios.
