Philatelic Culture Museum Arima, Kobe

The Philatelic Culture Museum Arima displays stamps from Japan and international collections across multiple exhibition spaces within its modern building.

Founded by Kanai Hiroyuki and opened on May 6, 2005, the museum preserves postal artifacts including wooden carrying boxes from the Meiji era.

The museum maintains a complete collection of Japanese stamps from 1871, documenting the evolution of postal communication and artistic design.

The museum welcomes visitors from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with admission fees of 800 yen for adults and 500 yen for university students.

The museum houses an octagonal wall clock that once adorned Japanese post offices, representing the timekeeping standards of postal services.
