Hokushin library

Hokushin Library sits on the fourth floor of the Ecole Lila Shopping Center with around 120,000 items spanning different categories. The space features a modern layout that combines comfortable reading areas with open shelving for browsing.

The library opened in 2019 and represented a new start for the neighborhood's book collection. Its location in a shopping center reflects how modern libraries are now integrated into urban retail spaces.

The library follows a 'Book Farm' concept that shapes how spaces are designed for reading and learning. This approach makes it a gathering place where the neighborhood comes together.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout, and you can reserve seating using self-service terminals. The facility also has a UV cleaning system for books if you want to sanitize items before reading.

A coloring corner displays seasonal artwork created by children who share in creative activities. The space also offers storytelling tools and kits for building your own picture books.
