Hyogo Prefectural Maiko Park, Urban park in Tarumi-ku, Japan

Hyogo Prefectural Maiko Park is a green space along the Seto Inland Sea coast in Tarumi-ku, featuring pine forests and sandy beaches. The location offers views of Awaji Island and covers roughly eight hectares of land.

The park was established around 1900 as Japan's first prefectural urban park. An important ruler of that era visited the location several times during his reign.

A memorial hall in the park honors a Chinese revolutionary leader who spent time here and left his mark on the location. The site displays exhibitions that tell the story of his life and his connection to this coastal area.

The park is easy to reach on foot from Maiko Station, with clear signs marking the way. Look for signage pointing to the pedestrian bridge entrance as the main access point.

A glass-enclosed walkway extends out over the water at a significant height, providing views of a massive bridge connecting two areas. This engineering feature stands out as notable in the region.
