Hyogo Prefectural Maiko Park, Urban park in Tarumi-ku, Japan
The 7.8-hectare green space extends along the Seto Inland Sea coast, featuring pine forests and sandy beaches with views of Awaji Island.
Established in 1900 as Japan's first prefectural urban park, Maiko Park received seven visits from Emperor Meiji during his reign.
The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, constructed in 1915, houses exhibitions about the Chinese revolutionary leader who frequented this location.
Visitors can reach the park within five minutes on foot from Maiko Station, with clear signage leading to the pedestrian bridge entrance.
The Maiko Marine Promenade provides a glass-enclosed walkway suspended 47 meters above the sea, offering views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
