廣島修道大學廣島協創中學·高等學校, Mittelschule in Japan
Hiroshima Shudo University Hiroshima Kyoso Junior and Senior High School is a combined junior and senior high school located in Nishi ward, Hiroshima. The campus consists of several buildings, including a newer structure that holds an assembly hall with seating for around 300 people.
The school was founded about 80 years ago and initially accepted only girls before later opening its doors to boys as well. Over the decades, the campus was renovated and expanded several times, with a new building completed in 2021.
The school's name reflects a philosophy that places gratitude and compassion at the center of learning, alongside academic subjects. Visitors to the campus can observe students from both the junior and senior levels working side by side, which gives daily life there a cooperative feel.
The school is a short walk from Shudai Kyoso Chuko mae station, making it easy to reach by public transport. Since it is an active school, access for outside visitors is limited, so the area is best seen from the surrounding streets.
The school is affiliated with Hiroshima Shudo University, forming a connected educational path that can carry students from around age 12 all the way through university. This direct link to the affiliated university is a concrete reason many local families choose the school.
