Shiroato History Museum, History museum in Takatsuki Castle Park, Japan.

The Shiroato History Museum is a municipal museum built on the site of the third enclosure (sannomaru) of Takatsuki Castle. Its permanent exhibition rooms present Edo-period Takatsuki through materials, video, models and manga explanations, including everyday objects of the Nagai family and other lords of Takatsuki Domain.

The museum stands on the site of the third enclosure (san-no-maru) of Takatsuki Castle, a castle that gave the city its name and whose grounds now form the surrounding park. Its permanent exhibition traces the castle and the Edo-period castle town, including the daimyo lords of the Takatsuki domain such as the Nagai family, whose everyday objects are kept and displayed here.

The permanent exhibition is organised into five sections: "Takatsuki Castle and its People", "Life in the Castle Town", "The Saigoku Highway and Akutagawa-juku", "The Yodo River and Boat Transport" and "People's Livelihoods and Work". Recordings of the Yodo River Thirty-koku Boat Song, an Osaka Prefecture intangible folk cultural property designated on 29 January 2002, can be heard here.

The museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30, and admission is free except for special exhibitions. It closes on Mondays (open on public holidays), the day after a public holiday, and from 28 December to 3 January. From Hankyu Takatsuki-shi Station it is about 10 minutes on foot to the south; from JR Takatsuki Station about 15 minutes to the southeast.

The museum holds everyday objects of the Nagai family and other lords of Takatsuki Domain, including items they actually used. Its permanent exhibition also plays recordings of the Yodo River thirty-koku boatmen's song, a prefectural intangible folk cultural property designated on 29 January 2002.
