Shiroato History Museum

The Shiroato History Museum is located in Takatsuki Castle Park and presents exhibits from the region's history. The building contains multiple exhibition spaces with artifacts, documents, and archaeological findings from the Takatsuki area.

The museum opened in March 2003 and occupies a location where a strategic fortress stood during the 16th century. This site connects the museum's modern purpose with the area's former military importance.

The museum displays artifacts from the Kofun period, including haniwa ceramic figures and bronze mirrors that show how ancient Japanese people buried their dead. These objects reveal beliefs and daily life from that distant time.

The museum offers educational programs for children and adults with hands-on activities. Visitors can participate in workshops where they create replicas of historical artifacts and armor pieces themselves.

The museum maintains collections linked to the Imashirozuka Ancient Tombs archaeological site, an important discovery location. This site offers insights into burial practices that stretch back hundreds of years.
