Takatsuki Castle Park

Takatsuki Castle Park is an urban park that features the ruins of a former castle structure surrounded by walking paths. Seasonal flowering trees throughout the grounds create changing views throughout the year.

The site was founded in the 9th century as a fortress and gained importance when Oda Nobunaga captured it in 1568. It then developed into a major stronghold in the region.

The on-site museum displays artifacts and documents from the Edo period that reflect the area's connection to its past. These items help visitors understand how people lived during that time.

The park is about 10 minutes from Takatsukishi Station on the Hankyu Line and offers free admission. The grounds include recreational facilities for different types of visitors.

The builders used an innovative technique in which pine needles and wooden logs were placed to stabilize the structure on soft ground. This creative approach shows how the architects solved construction challenges.
