安満宮山古墳, Rectangular ancient tomb in Takatsuki, Japan.
The rectangular burial mound measures 18 meters by 21 meters and contains a glass-covered excavation pit displaying replicas of burial artifacts.
Built in the 3rd century, this tomb contained bronze mirrors with inscriptions from the year 239, marking the oldest dated mirrors found in Japan.
The tomb represents early Japanese burial practices with its bamboo coffin structure and offerings including bronze mirrors, iron objects, and glass beads.
Visitors can reach the tomb by taking a bus from JR Takatsuki Station to Iwate Bridge, followed by a 25-minute walk to the site.
The burial chamber features a white floor treated with mercury oxide and contains a human-shaped representation of the buried regional ruler.
