Cinefuku Daikokuza was a theatre in Fukuyama that combined classical architectural style with modern projection equipment and comfortable seating areas for audiences. The building was fully set up to show films and provided viewers with proper facilities for their cinema experience.
The theatre opened in 1892 and became one of Japan's earliest venues for film screenings. After more than 120 years of continuous operation, it closed in 2014, ending a long chapter of traditional cinema in Fukuyama.
