大亀山森林公園

The Okameyama Forest Park spans 32.7 hectares at the summit of Mount Okame, featuring natural walking trails and athletic facilities across its grounds.

The park, inaugurated in 1995, includes the Kashima Amaashi Shrine and contains ancient Akagashi trees that have stood in this location for generations.

Every third Sunday of April, the Kashima Amaashi Shrine within the park grounds hosts a traditional festival that draws numerous visitors.

The park operates from 9:00 to 17:00 and offers free parking for 122 regular vehicles and 5 large vehicles, with barbecue facilities available through reservation.

A 20-meter observation tower provides 360-degree views of the Zao mountain range and Mount Kurikoma from its platform at 118 meters above sea level.
