幕張春天飯店, Hotel in Japan
Makuhari Spring Hotel (幕張春天飯店) is a hotel in the Makuhari district of Chiba, a coastal city east of Tokyo. It is split across two building sections, a main wing and a Premier wing, and offers rooms with Japanese or Western-style decor alongside a restaurant and a guest lounge.
The hotel opened in 1990, positioned to serve the growing business and trade fair activity developing around Tokyo Bay at that time. A later expansion added the Premier wing, which brought larger rooms and updated decor to the property.
The name of the hotel combines the Makuhari seafront area with the Japanese word for spring, giving the place a welcoming feel. Many guests stay here specifically because of its proximity to Makuhari Messe, one of Japan's largest convention centers, and use it as a base for trade fairs and concerts.
The hotel is a short walk from JR Kaihimmakuhari Station, which connects directly to central Tokyo and to Narita Airport. Guests attending events at the nearby convention center should plan ahead, as rooms tend to fill quickly around event dates.
The hotel lobby has a curved spiral staircase built in a French style that guests frequently stop to photograph. The lounge serves mini donuts as part of its snack selection, and these small treats are among the most mentioned details in guest reviews.
