Akabane Köprüsü

Akabane Köprüsü is a steel bridge that crosses a waterway in Minato, connecting the surrounding neighborhoods and allowing both foot and vehicle traffic to pass. The structure spans the waterway with a straightforward design typical of early 20th-century Japanese infrastructure.

The bridge was constructed in 1926 and underwent major renewal in 1985 to strengthen its structure and handle growing city traffic. This reconstruction reflected the need to adapt infrastructure to the expanding demands of the urban area.
