Jōgashima Kōen, Coastal park in Miura, Japan
Located at the southern tip of Miura Peninsula, Jogashima Park contains a seaside forest with black pine trees and prairie landscapes shaped by Pacific winds.
The park, established in December 1958, serves as a winter refuge for approximately 2000 Japanese cormorants between November and April each year.
The area holds connections to poet Hakushu Kitahara, who documented his experiences in Miura City through writings about Jogashima and its surroundings.
Visitors can reach the park by taking a 20-minute bus ride from Keikyu Line Misakiguchi Station, with wheelchair-accessible facilities throughout the grounds.
The park features two observation points offering views of Mount Fuji, Boso Peninsula, and Izu Oshima, alongside 300,000 double-flowered daffodils blooming from January.
