金剛寺, Buddhist temple in Ome, Japan.

Shiofune Kannon-ji Temple stands in a valley near Ome, featuring traditional Japanese architecture and multiple prayer halls surrounded by mountain slopes.

The temple traces its origins to the Taika period between 645 and 650, when a nun named Yao Bikuni established a shrine with a Kannon statue.

The temple maintains the practices of the Shingon Buddhist sect, with regular ceremonies and fire walking demonstrations during annual celebrations in May.

Visitors can reach the temple through regular train services from central Tokyo to Ome station, followed by a local bus connection.

The temple grounds contain 17,000 azalea bushes that create waves of pink, red, violet, and white flowers across the hillsides during spring.
