Shiofune Kannon Temple, Buddhist temple in Ome, Japan.

The Shiofune Kannon-ji temple complex features multiple wooden buildings on a hillside, surrounded by 20,000 azalea bushes that bloom in spring.

Founded during the Taika period between 645 and 650, the temple received its name from monk Gyoki who noted the surrounding terrain resembled a ship.

The temple houses important cultural properties, including an eleven-faced Thousand-Armed Kannon statue and twenty-eight attendant figures from the Kamakura period.

Visitors can reach the temple by taking a bus from Kawabe Station on the JR Ome Line to the Shiofune Kannon stop, followed by a 10-minute walk.

The temple grounds contain designated natural monuments, including ancient cedar trees known as the Husband and Wife Cedars, protected by Tokyo Prefecture since 1953.
