Karasunsky District

Karasunsky District is an administrative division in southeastern Krasnodar that includes both densely built neighborhoods and scattered rural areas with villages. The landscape combines apartment buildings, open spaces, and a network of roads connecting the different sections of the territory.

The district was established in 1973 through an administrative reform that fundamentally reshaped Krasnodar's territorial structure. This reorganization created the modern framework for managing and developing the southeastern portion of the city.

The district experienced rapid population growth, increasing from 173,025 residents in 2002 to 354,313 in 2023, demonstrating its expanding role in Krasnodar.
