Engelbrektsstatyn, Bronze sculpture in Stadshusträdgården, Kungsholmen, Sweden.
The bronze sculpture stands atop a twenty-meter column designed by Ragnar Östberg, depicting a medieval figure holding a raised banner.
Created by sculptor Christian Eriksson and unveiled in 1932, the statue represents Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson, who led a rebellion against the Kalmar Union.
The statue features four helmeted heads carved by Aron Sandberg around its base, adding intricate details to the memorial composition.
The monument faces the Stockholm City Hall, making it visible from multiple angles within the public garden and surrounding walkways.
Before Christian Eriksson won the commission through a competition of seventy entries, the project was initially assigned to sculptor Carl Milles.
