Oasis Terraces, Mixed-use development in Punggol, Singapore.
Oasis Terraces is a mixed-use building in Punggol, Singapore, designed with stepped gardens that slope toward the waterfront and greenery covering much of the facade. Open verandahs run through the structure so that air can move naturally from one level to the next.
The project broke ground in August 2015 as part of a wider effort to develop Punggol into a waterfront town and opened to the public in November 2017. It was conceived to bring together housing, health, retail, and community services in a single place.
The rooftop garden offers residents and visitors space to grow plants together and meet others. This shared area encourages people to exchange gardening knowledge and creates informal meeting spots in their daily routine.
The complex connects directly to the light rail station and brings together a polyclinic, shops, restaurants, and educational facilities all in one place. Taking time to walk through the different levels is the best way to get a sense of what is available.
The polyclinic inside the building houses Singapore's first automated pharmacy, which can dispense medications far faster than a traditional counter. This system was designed specifically to reduce waiting times for patients collecting prescriptions.
