Muradiye Mosque, Ottoman congregational mosque in Şehzadeler, Turkey.

Muradiye Mosque is a congregational mosque in Şehzadeler with a central dome supported by three half-domes, built primarily from sandstone and topped with two minarets. The complex includes a medrese for religious education and an imaret that now houses the Manisa Museum.

The mosque was built between 1583 and 1586 as a new prayer space commissioned by a sultan seeking to add to the city's religious buildings. The project brought together designers and builders whose work resulted in a structure that stands today.

The interior showcases finely crafted Iznik tiles and carved stone details that show the skill of Ottoman religious artisans. These handmade elements shape how the prayer hall feels when you walk through it.

The interior is decorated with tiles and stone details worth taking time to notice as you walk through the space. The adjacent museum area is open to visitors throughout much of the year and offers additional insight into the religious history of the site.

In the 1580s, specialized lamps from Venice were imported and installed inside, showing that this place had trade connections to European craft centers. This unexpected link reveals how distant commerce influenced even religious building projects of that time.
