Guishan District

Guishan is an administrative district in Taoyuan that encompasses multiple communities and serves as an important part of the region. The area includes residential neighborhoods, commercial zones, and public institutions distributed across its territory.

The area developed as a center of local communities and gradually became organized into an administrative district. This structure allowed for better governance and coordination of public services for the growing population.

Each of the 32 villages in Guishan maintains separate celebrations during harvest season, featuring traditional dance performances and local food preparations.

The district is accessible by highway and various road connections, offering connections to public transportation options. Residents and visitors can access different services and facilities depending on their location within the district.

Located at 190 meters elevation, Guishan houses both the Taipei Prison facility and multiple educational institutions, including Chang Gung University.
