Formosa Plastics Group Museum

The Formosa Plastics Group Museum is an industrial museum on the Chang Gung University campus with six floors and a basement containing exhibition areas. The spaces document the development of Taiwan's manufacturing industry through various displays and collections.

The museum was founded in 2004 and tells the story of Formosa Plastics Group, which was established by Wang Yung-ching and Wang Yung-tsai. This company history is closely tied to Taiwan's transformation into an industrial power.

The exhibition halls show how Taiwan's manufacturing sector developed over time through objects from different production phases, including old carts and textile machines. Visitors can see what role craftsmanship and manufacturing played in the local story.

The museum is accessible by public transportation by heading to the National Taiwan Sport University station and following signs to the Chang Gung campus. The exhibitions spread across multiple levels, so visitors should plan to spend adequate time exploring.

The lobby features a collection of ancient wood fossils, including pieces from forests millions of years old. This natural collection creates an unexpected contrast with the modern industrial history displayed around it.
