Zhushan Village

Zhushan is a historic settlement in Kinmen featuring traditional single-story homes with tile roofs built in the architectural style of China's Fujian region. The buildings cluster around two central ponds, creating an organic network of residential and communal spaces rather than a strict grid pattern.

The settlement emerged during the late Qing Dynasty and reflects building practices imported from mainland Fujian province. These construction methods and village patterns have endured to the present day, allowing visitors insight into how communities were organized centuries ago.
