Castle Point, Administrative borough in Essex, England
Castle Point extends along the Thames Estuary, encompassing mainland towns of South Benfleet, Hadleigh, Thundersley, and the connected island of Canvey Island.
The district formed in April 1974 from merging Benfleet and Canvey Island urban districts, receiving borough status in February 1992.
The district maintains three international partnerships through twinning arrangements with Romainville in France, Cologne District in Germany, and County Roscommon in Ireland.
Transportation links include direct access to London via the A13 road and Benfleet railway station on the London, Tilbury and Southend railway line.
The Waterside Farm Sports Centre on Canvey Island spans 88 acres of parkland, providing indoor and outdoor recreational facilities including a swimming pool.
