Jiminy Peak, Ski resort in Hancock, Massachusetts, US

Jiminy Peak is a ski resort in Hancock featuring 45 trails spread across 167 acres of skiable terrain with runs for all ability levels across different elevations. The mountain is served by nine lifts, including a high-speed six-person chairlift, with snow-making systems covering most of the terrain.

The resort began operations as a mountain ski facility and has grown into a major winter sports destination over the decades. In 2007, it became the first private business in the United States to install its own megawatt-class wind turbine for energy production.

Children learn skiing through structured instruction programs that emphasize both technique and safety in a dedicated learning area. Families come here to introduce young people to winter sports in a supportive environment.

The resort spreads across multiple elevations with terrain suitable for all abilities, so you can find appropriate runs regardless of your skill level. The on-site snow-making systems mean conditions can remain reliable even during warmer periods.

The resort generates approximately one-third of its annual energy needs from an on-site wind turbine. This demonstrates how a traditional winter sports venue can operate with renewable energy innovation.
