Logan Elm

Logan Elm State Memorial marks the location of an American elm tree that stood here until 1964, with a crown spread of about 180 feet (55 m). The site features informational displays and monuments documenting the regional history and significance of this place.

The site gained significance when Chief Logan, a Mingo leader, delivered an influential speech about peace and revenge in 1774 during negotiations with Lord Dunmore. This historical meeting marked a pivotal moment in relations between Native Americans and European settlers in Ohio.
