Crocker Mountain, Mountain summit in Carrabassett Valley, Maine, United States.
Crocker Mountain rises to 4,228 feet in elevation, featuring a glacial cirque formation between its main peak and South Crocker Mountain.
The mountain received its name from Massachusetts politician William Crocker during the early development of Maine's mountain nomenclature in the 1900s.
The Appalachian Trail traverses Crocker Mountain as part of its 2,170-mile route, connecting hiking communities from Georgia through Maine.
Visitors access the mountain via Route 27 northwest from Sugarloaf ski area, following Caribou Valley Road to reach multiple trailhead parking areas.
Brooks from the east side of Crocker Mountain feed the South Branch Carrabassett River, which flows into the Kennebec River toward the Gulf of Maine.
