Rangeley Lake State Park covers 870 acres (350 ha) on the southern shore of Rangeley Lake, partly in the town of Rangeley and partly in Rangeley Plantation. The park has a 50-site campground, a swimming beach, hiking trails, and docks and a launch ramp for motorized boating. The lake's 6,000 acres hold landlocked salmon and brook trout.

Rangeley Lake State Park was created in 1960, when the Bureau of Parks and Lands made three acquisitions totaling 718 acres. Oxford County and international paper companies donated half of the property. In 2009, a 29-acre parcel was added with help from the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust, using $595,000 from the Land for Maine's Future program.

The park serves as a gathering place for people who fish, hike, and boat on the water. Visitors come here to spend time outdoors and enjoy the landscape with family and friends.
