Hillsgrove Covered Bridge, Covered bridge in Hillsgrove Township, Pennsylvania, United States

The red wooden Hillsgrove Bridge stretches 57 meters across Loyalsock Creek, featuring Burr arch trusses and long narrow openings with wooden shutters.

Built in 1850 by Sadler Rodgers at age 18, this structure earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 as Sullivan County's first listed bridge.

The bridge displays nineteenth-century regulations about speed limits, animal traffic, and fire safety, preserving local transportation rules from its early days.

Located 2.6 miles northeast of Hillsgrove village, the bridge serves 54 vehicles daily and provides access to a Little League Baseball camp.

Between 1870 and 1890, the bridge functioned as a landing site for lumber rafts, connecting different sections of the local timber transportation network.
