Belton Court

Belton Court is a large mansion in Barrington that showcases medieval architectural features, including a crenellated tower and a U-shaped design with substantial interior spaces. The structure was built as a private residence and includes multiple rooms and outbuildings reflecting the wealth of its original owner.

Frederick Stanhope Peck commissioned the mansion in 1905, naming it after his ancestral estate in England. The property converted to institutional use in 1944, first serving as a hospital and then becoming associated with an educational institution.

The mansion once held an impressive collection of rare books and historical documents that reflected the owner's passion for literature. Visitors today can sense how this repository of cultural treasures shaped the character of the residence.
