Audra State Park, State park in Barbour County, West Virginia, US.
Audra State Park is a 355-acre woodland area in Barbour County, West Virginia, that is divided by the Middle Fork River. The river creates natural swimming spots among large flat rocks and forms deep pools throughout the property.
The land originally belonged to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad before being sold to West Virginia in 1948. The park was then developed for public use and opened to visitors in 1950.
The park serves as a community learning space where visitors encounter information about the region's plants and animals through guided programs and interpretive trails. These activities help people develop a deeper connection with the natural world around them.
The park has 67 campsites available, with 39 equipped with electrical hookups, and provides modern bathhouses, playgrounds, and a camp store. These facilities make it easy to plan a comfortable stay for families or longer visits.
The Alum Cave Trail features a boardwalk that runs along an overhanging sandstone ledge, giving visitors direct access to geological formations above the river. This trail reveals the rock layers and structures that developed over millennia.
