Barbour County Courthouse, Richardsonian Romanesque courthouse in Philippi, United States.

The Barbour County Courthouse features a colossal offset tower with an open belfry, double arched openings, and a pyramidal roof with small spires.

Built between 1903 and 1905, this courthouse replaced an earlier brick structure from 1844 that displayed the first Confederate flag in present-day West Virginia.

Located at Court Square in Philippi, the courthouse coordinates are 39°09′09″N latitude and 80°02′22″W longitude, serving local administration needs.

The exterior walls consist of Hummelstown brownstone, a dense sandstone from Pennsylvania displaying dark brown hues with reddish to purplish tints.
