Guangde Temple

The temple complex spans 1.6 hectares in the Wolong Mountains, containing more than 25 pavilions, pagodas, and halls, including Mahavira Hall and Tianwang Hall.

Construction of the temple, initially named Shifo Temple, began in 618 AD during the Tang Dynasty and continued through several imperial periods of China.

Guangde Temple maintains numerous Buddhist artifacts and wooden structures from the Ming Dynasty period, including the ancient Yougu Pagoda from Tang times.

Visitors can reach the temple from Chengdu East Railway Station by taking a bullet train to Suining and then connecting to public bus line 5.

The temple holds the status of Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, preserving centuries of Chinese Buddhist heritage.
