Haus Latum, Architectural heritage monument in Meerbusch, Germany

Haus Latum stands as a manor house complex with a two-story residential building, surrounded by water moats on three sides with brick farm structures.

First documented in 1186, the building underwent reconstruction in 1686 after complete destruction during the Thirty Years War in 1642.

The mansion represents the traditional architecture of North Rhine-Westphalia nobility residences, featuring Gothic-style brick extensions and hipped roof barns.

Located at Bismarckstrasse 42 in Meerbusch-Lank, the building received monument protection status on December 10, 1981, ensuring its preservation.

The property originally included 205 morgen of land, 70 morgen of woodland, six forests near Linn, and maintained its own house chaplain until the late 1700s.
