Ghost Chasers, Steel roller coaster in Movie Park Bottrop, Germany.
Ghost Chasers is a roller coaster at Movie Park Bottrop featuring tight turns and rapid descents along its track. With a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph) and seating for four riders per car, it delivers short bursts of excitement throughout the ride.
The coaster was built by Mack Rides in 2000 and has gone through several name changes over time. It started as Mad Manor, then became Tom and Jerry's Mouse in the House, before finally being rebranded as Ghost Chasers.
The ride draws from SpongeBob SquarePants, taking visitors through an underwater setting in Bikini Bottom as they escape the Flying Dutchman. The theming appeals especially to families with children exploring the park.
Riders must be between 120 and 195 centimeters tall to board the coaster. Visiting during quieter hours in the morning or early evening helps minimize wait times.
The ride uses a chain lift system and operates from a remarkably compact footprint of about 44 by 19 meters. Each car is arranged with two rows of two seats, creating a tight seating configuration that intensifies the ride experience.
