Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Flyer, Steel roller coaster at Movie Park Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia.
Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Flyer is a steel coaster with suspended track design where cars hang beneath the rails. The ride stretches roughly 290 meters long and reaches a peak height of about 13 meters (42 feet), moving at speeds around 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour) with room for 14 riders across seven cars.
This suspended coaster opened in 2007 as the first of its type to feature a redesigned restraint system from manufacturer Vekoma. The design was created by Stefan Holtman and installed by RCS GmbH.
Located in the NICKLAND section, this coaster brings to life the animated series about a young inventor through its themed design and character elements. The ride station and surroundings reflect the show's creative spirit.
The ride is accessible to visitors between roughly 95 and 205 centimeters in height and offers a journey lasting about 48 seconds. The open suspended design means riders experience the movement more directly compared to enclosed coasters.
The ride uses a booster wheel lift system instead of a traditional chain lift, creating a distinct acceleration sensation at launch. The absence of inversions makes it distinctly family-friendly while still delivering the suspended sensation.
