St. Martin, Romanesque Revival church in Rheinbach, Germany.
The St. Martin church features a prominent bell tower positioned outside the axis of the choir, incorporating elements of Romanesque Revival architecture.
The original religious building on this site dates back to 943, with the first subsidiary church constructed in 1313 including its characteristic tower.
The St. Martin Parish Association, established in November 1882, initiated the construction of a larger church to meet the growing religious community needs.
The current structure, rebuilt between 1948 and 1950 under architect Toni Kleefisch's direction, contains an organ built by Rieger with 2700 pipes.
Five bronze bells of different ages and consecrations ring from the tower of St. Martin, marking time and celebrations for the Rheinbach community.
