Zoo el-Zagazig

Zoo El-Zagazig is a facility that houses lions, tigers, elephants, giraffes, ostriches, monkeys, and other animals in separate areas. The grounds include cafes, restaurants, and planted areas where visitors can rest and spend time outdoors.

The facility was created in 1984 and became part of Egypt's national zoo administration system. This marked an important step in organizing wildlife care across the country.

The zoo serves as a place where visitors encounter animals from different regions and learn by watching how they move and interact within their spaces. People of all ages come here to observe wildlife and develop curiosity about nature.

The grounds are open daily and visitors can walk through at a comfortable pace to see all the different areas. It is best to bring water and wear comfortable shoes, as there is much to explore on foot.

During special events, a crocodile lake exhibition opens where visitors can watch these reptiles from a safe distance. This does not happen often, which makes it a rare experience when it is available.
