It operates network centers throughout India and handles registration of the .IN domain and assignment of IP addresses for Indian internet services.
The organization was established on 19 June 2003 to help internet service providers connect directly and improve data flow within India. Since 2005, it has managed the national .IN domain and has worked to keep internet traffic moving faster and more efficiently throughout the country.
The main office is located in New Delhi at World Trade Centre, 9th Floor, Tower B, Nauroji Nagar and is reachable on weekdays for inquiries. A support team is available by phone and email to help with questions about .IN domain registration and management.
