勝光寺

The Kanshinji temple complex includes a Golden Hall and several buildings featuring traditional Japanese and Zen architectural elements throughout its grounds.

Founded in 701 by En no Gyoja, the temple gained prominence when Buddhist master Kukai established it as a training center for Shingon Buddhism in 815.

The temple houses multiple National Treasures, including a wooden statue of Nyoirin Kannon from the Heian period and four bronze Buddha statues from the 9th century.

Visitors can access the temple from Kawachinagano Station by taking the Nankai Bus from Stand 3, with admission fees of 300 yen for adults.

Kanshinji stands as the sole temple in Japan dedicated to the worship of the Big Dipper, marked by seven cairns representing its primary stars.
