Enkoji, Buddhist temple in Ogaki, Japan

The temple features a central garden with a pond surrounded by maple trees that display red and orange colors during autumn months.

The temple contains a revered statue of the thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva, attributed to the craftsmanship of the sculptor Unkei from medieval Japan.

The temple maintains a collection of 50,000 original wooden printing blocks from the 1600s, representing the oldest preserved set in Japan.

Visitors can reach the temple through regular bus services from central Ogaki, with operating hours from 9:00 to 17:00 and an entrance fee.

An underground water feature in the garden creates subtle echoes when water drops fall, producing natural musical notes throughout the space.
