Shūnan City Museum of Art and History, Art and history museum in Shunan, Japan
The Shunan City Museum of Art & History exhibits a collection of local artworks and historical artifacts representing the Yamaguchi Prefecture heritage.
The museum opened its doors on September 4, 1995, becoming an essential institution for preserving and displaying regional art and historical objects.
The permanent exhibition presents works from regional artists including photographer Tadahiko Hayashi, painters Susumu Miyazaki and Ryusei Kishida, and poet Michio Mado.
The museum welcomes visitors from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM with general admission at 200 yen, offering 159 parking spaces and wheelchair accessibility.
The building features a cafe terrace where visitors observe a fountain through large windows while exploring the exhibitions and museum shop.
