Hiromitsu Ochiai Baseball Hall, Baseball biographical museum in Taiji, Japan.

The Hiromitsu Ochiai Baseball Hall is a biographical museum in Taiji, Japan, dedicated to the career of one of the most accomplished batters in Japanese baseball. The exhibition space features game gear, signed balls, team photographs and personal items spanning decades of active play and later coaching work.

The museum opened on November 18, 1993, to honor the retirement of a player who became the simultaneous batting, home run and runs batted in leader of his league three times during his active years. He later guided the Chunichi Dragons to a championship in 2007 as their manager, marking a second successful phase in his career.

The building carries the name of a former slugger and coach who topped his league in three major batting categories during three separate seasons. Visitors walk among jerseys, personal gear and handwritten notes documenting his competitive methods, offering a direct view into the daily life of a professional player.

The collection is arranged in a compact hall where visitors can view exhibits at an easy pace. Several explanation panels are available in Japanese, and occasional guided tours offer deeper insight into playing techniques and career milestones.

Beyond the awards from his active years, the collection also displays strategy notes and lineup plans from his time as a coach. These handwritten documents reveal his tactical thinking and illustrate how he translated his playing knowledge into leadership work.
