The Nagasaki City Science Museum spans multiple floors containing exhibits about local geology, technology, and space exploration with two astronomical observatories at the top level.

The facility opened its doors in April 1997 and underwent significant renovations in 2018, expanding its exhibition space on the third floor with modernized displays.

The Science Zone presents information about Nagasaki scientists who contributed to Japanese scientific advancement, alongside exhibits about regional natural phenomena and geological characteristics.

Located at 7-2 Yukicho, the museum operates from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM with admission fees of 410 yen for adults and 200 yen for children.

The Space Theater features a planetarium and immersive dome screen, while two separate observatories house reflecting and refracting telescopes for celestial observation.
