Oiso Joyama Park

Oiso Joyama Park spans seven hectares across multiple levels, featuring dense forests of castanopsis, oak, and zelkova trees on the Shonan coast.

The park opened in 1987 on the grounds of a former Mitsui family villa, reflecting the area's status as a retreat for political figures during the Meiji period.

The Joyama-an teahouse within the park draws inspiration from the 17th-century National Treasure Jo-an teahouse, maintaining traditional Japanese architecture.

Visitors can reach the park by taking the JR Tokaido line to Oiso Station and catching bus routes 13, 14, 43, or 47 to the Oiso Joyama Koenmae stop.

The observatory deck provides views of Mount Fuji, the Hakone mountains, Izu Peninsula, Sagami Bay, and Izu Oshima island on clear days.
