Muromachi Furukawa-Mitsui building, Commercial skyscraper in Muromachi district, Tokyo, Japan
The Muromachi Furukawa-Mitsui Building is a 22-story office tower rising 116 meters (380 feet) in central Tokyo with a glass and steel facade. It combines office space, retail shops, and 54 residential apartments within its structure.
The building was completed in 2014 as part of a major urban redevelopment project in the Nihonbashi area. This construction phase transformed the post-war character of the neighborhood.
The lower floors blend modern movie theaters with traditional Japanese dining venues, creating a mix that reflects the area's commercial identity. This combination shapes how locals and visitors experience the neighborhood today.
The building connects directly to Mitsukoshimae Station, making it easy to reach by train. Visitors can enjoy movies, shopping, and dining without stepping outside.
The building houses nine cinema screens with 1,770 seats spread across multiple levels. The luxury apartments within the tower offer specialized services through a partnership with Mitsukoshi Department Store.
