Otemachi 1st square, Commercial skyscraper in Otemachi, Japan
Otemachi 1st Square comprises twin towers with 23 floors above ground and 5 floors below in central Tokyo. The structure houses office space, retail shops, and dining venues within its modern high-rise complex.
The West Tower opened in 1992, followed by the East Tower in 1997, completing this two-phase development. Both sections were built at different times to gradually expand the complex's presence in the neighborhood.
The complex contains multiple restaurants and conference rooms where Tokyo's business professionals gather throughout the day and evening.
The complex connects directly to Otemachi Metro Station through exits C8 and C11 and sits a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station. Visitors can easily access all areas of the building from the nearby metro entrances.
The structure received an International Illumination Design Award from the North American Illuminating Engineering Society in 1998. The lighting design makes the towers noticeable from many angles, especially after dark.
