Mount Bunō

Mount Bunō rises to 1,760 meters (5,774 feet) spanning the border between Niigata and Gunma Prefectures, with several hiking trails cutting through thick forests. The routes connect different sections of the surrounding landscape at varying elevations.

The mountain earned recognition as the 86th peak in the 100 Famous Gunma Mountains collection, marking its place within the Mikuni Mountains range that spans northern Honshu. This designation reflected the importance locals placed on preserving trekking routes across the region.
