Shitaragahara Historical Museum

Shitaragahara Historical Museum is a place dedicated to feudal warfare, with a collection of matchlock guns, samurai armor, and historical documents on display. The rooms are arranged so that visitors can understand the military aspects of that time period.

The museum commemorates a major battle from 1575 when two powerful leaders sent their troops against a rival family and used firearms in new ways for the first time. This event was a turning point that showed how technology could change warfare.

The museum displays artifacts from the period of regional conflicts in Japan and gives visitors insights into military tactics and technological developments of that era. The weapons and armor on display tell stories about how important this time was for Japanese society.

The museum is located near a train station and is easy to reach if you arrive by train. Visitors should know that it is open daily from morning until early evening, making it possible to see the exhibits in a half day.
