Ueno German Culture Village

Ueno German Culture Village is a theme park in Miyakojima featuring a replica of Marksburg Castle, which houses a museum containing sections of the Berlin Wall. The grounds combine German architecture with various attractions for guests.

The park was established in 1993 on the site of a memorial honoring the rescue of German sailors from a shipwreck in 1873. This historical connection links local history with the park's German heritage.

The village displays German life through museum exhibits, inviting visitors to taste traditional German dishes at the on-site restaurant.

The park is accessible via bus routes 9 and A, stopping at Sea Breeze Casual Mae, followed by a walk to reach the entrance. It is helpful to allow extra time for the journey from the bus stop to the park.

The park offers a semi-submersible boat ride called Sea Sky departing from Hakuai fishing port, providing underwater views. This attraction combines the German theme with the local marine environment in an unexpected way.
