The venue was established with support from the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Cultural Foundation to promote cultural activities throughout Nagasaki Prefecture. It plays a role in developing the cultural offerings available to the region.

The dressing areas are filled with natural light and feature both Japanese-style and Western-style options. Both versions include illuminated mirrors to help performers prepare comfortably before going on stage.
